Just Arrived: Selvedge Denim by Railcar Fine Goods
Greenwich Vintage now carries Selvedge Denim by Railcar Fine Goods.
Railcar Fine Goods denim jeans construction and details are done using traditional and vintage industrial sewing machines in Railcar’s workshop in Arcadia, California. Since quality vintage denim is so rare these days, we will now carry new selvedge denim hand-crafted in the USA by Railcar Fine Goods. These will be the only jeans you’ll ever need - and the most reasonably priced selvedge denim around.
Confirmed Stock profile on menswear blog Well Spent
Our next pop-up flea market will be Confirmed Stock, which happens in Baltimore on April 28th 2012. One of the blogs we pay close attention to, Well Spent, recently mentioned Greenwich Vintage in an article about Confirmed Stock. Its great to see a renowned blog like Well Spent shine a light on the new pop-up men’s market and the brands that will be there. Or brief debut on Well Spent includes a photo of a pair of our custom wingtip shoes. We’re proud to be described as “one of the biggest collections of vintage menswear”.
In case you didn’t know, the heritage menswear gurus at Greenwich Vintage are also curators of fine dance parties in Minneapolis, known as “Hands High”. This April 2012 edition of Hands High is host to some of the best HipHop and R&B DJs in the Twin Cities, Plain Ol’ BIll and DJ Fundo, two gents that are no strangers to the Hands High lineup. Mustache Mike invites you to come down to Honey Minneapolis this April 21st. (below Ginger Hop bar) 205 E Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55414
Photographer Eliesa Johnson documents Greenwich Vintage
Eliesa Johnson is an amazing editorial and fashion photographer who clearly loves photography as much as we love vintage menswear. Although its a treat witnessing her craft the photos in person, her passion for her art is blatantly obvious if just looking through her portfolio and reading a few of her thoughts she’s posted on her killer blog.
Having heard about us through the grapevine, she set up a test-shoot / docu-photo session with the Greenwich boys at the showroom. Eliesa did some excellent portraits of us as well some raw, in-the-moment shots and photos of showroom details . View the photo session highlights on her blog.
The photos turned out amazing (of course) and to top it all off, the shoot was compiled with video into a badass montage that Team America would envy. Corey DeGuia filmed a behind-the-scenes video of Eliesa at work:
